A :Hello Idalina, yes these tiles can be used in wet areas if professionally installed with a waterproof membrane, so long as it is understood that they do require more maintenance that is associated with it, keeping it sealed with specially formulated sealants, and using ph neutral cleaners as limestones are more porous than most natural stones.

Q :Can you provide any advice regarding sealing these tiles.. should they be sealed front and back before installing to avoid staining? any other advice regarding installation for bathroom

A :Hello, Thank you for your email. We recommend all natural stones are sealed before and after grouting on the front of the tiles if white adhesive is used however, if any other colour adhesive is used i.e black , the back of the tiles should also be sealed to avoid staining coming through over time. A :Good afternoon, Many thanks for your question. Unfortunetly we wouldnt recommend the moleanos for out doors, this is due to the tickness this stone would need to be at 30-40mm in order for it to be suitable for out door use. This is because of the durabilty of the stone and weather conditions may affect it. Please kindly take a look at our out door sections for stones that are perfect to use.
